About

I’ve been a web software engineer working on the LAMP stack for more than a decade. I have an alphabet soup of acronyms on my résumé. I don’t fear a command-line prompt, and I can probably speak a form of English that would sound foreign to many of my friends.

Despite all that, I hesitate to consider myself a programmer. And yet, I make my living getting databases and web pages to communicate with each other.

This site attempts to chronicle that reluctance, my attempts to overcome it and ultimately, the times when I fail to do so.

I get the impression anyone who cares about software engineering, web development, programming, what have you keeps some sort of blog. Here it is, then. But it’s probably not the kind of blog you’d expect.

My name is Greg Bueno, and I am a reluctant programmer.
